Tips on using Google docs to write articles jointly

When two people are editing the same doc be sure you are in editing mode. 

Go to the pencil in the top right corner below your avatar. Click on it and a drop down menu appears. Select “Suggesting” so you can see each others edits.

Commenting- you can select a phrase, sentence, paragraph by highlighting it and clicking on the plus sign when you hover on the margin. See right.

Two or more people can comment or ask each other questions about the document.
